Not sure if this is the best place for this, but wasn’t sure where else to go since laws vary by state. Anyway long story short, I have a work related injury that requires surgery with a recovery time of 6-8 months. I can not do that as I will need assistance in day to day life and that’s not something I have access to. I have been trying to find work that wouldn’t ignore doctors orders, but it’s been a year and I need to get back to work. I have already taken the job and start Monday because I’m a month away from homelessness, my question is will workers comp no longer cover the cost of the surgery because of this? I’m assuming they won’t as it makes some sense, but just want to mentally prepare myself for what’s to come.
