Left parking garage without paying - Colonial Parking
Post Body

So I parked my car for about an hour or 2 or maybe 3 because this garage has a free parking for 2 hours and I was charged $3. I was dumb enough not to bring my wallet with me so there’s no other way I could pay without a credit card. I didn’t think of pressing the button on the box that time but I called colonial parking customer support instead. I didn’t have any help with that because they were closed after 5pm.

I tried to see if other exits have Apple Pay or google pay options on them but I got to an exit which only allowed barcodes for reserved parking. I was about to back in but the arm opened for some reason and my immediate thought was to head out and get home because I did not wanted to have stuck in the garage forever until I pay for it.

Now I’m worried if they would track me down and have my car towed or send charges to collections or impact my driving record.

What can I do to avoid these incidents?

Edit Update: The operator was kind enough to let it go because the gate was up 😊

Thank you, if you’re reading this, Brenda from Colonial Parking
