Can we please stop calling Moon Knight āMarvelās Batmanā? Weāre setting false expectations for people who donāt know the character.
Look, I understand that he beats people up, he goes out at night, he has a cape and cowl, and he has gadgets. Some can argue that heās rich because of his Steven Grant personality, but thatās one personality that might not even be real.
Moon Knight has multiple personalities. Itās an intense mental health block that separates him from any other superhero. To call him āBatmanā is a disservice to his character (and Batmanās tbf). Batman is a master detective and strategist. Heās a genius with a clear mind and clear intents. Their heroic actions may be similar, but they are very different characters.
Honestly, by the logic of comparison, there are so many characters that we could call āMarvelās Batmanā.
Black Widow: wears black, no powers, fights with a bunch of gadgets, trained since a child.
Daredevil: fights crime at night, in a big city, intimidates enemies, uses stealth and acrobatics.
Spider-Man: fights crime on the streets, used animal themed gadgets, parents died when he was young, genius.
Iron Man: genius, billionaire, playboy, strategist with a plan to take out his own team if necessary.
Dr. Strange: wears a cape, lives in a big city, super rich.
Hawkeye: no powers, fights crime in the city, uses gadgets.
Iām sure I missed plenty and Iām obviously being sarcastic with some of these, but Moon Knight and Batman are just as different as most of these characters. Please stop confusing people by saying theyāre the same. Weāre gonna end up with viewers disappointed and / or confused with this show because they expect Batman and get an insane person haunted by an Egyptian god who is also giving him powers. Nothing like Batman.
But also Moon Knights whole shtick is confusing as mud. So maybe we let the confusion run wild.
