I think the first movie should be just the original 6 X-Men, being Cyclops, Jean, Beast, Angel, Iceman, and Professor X. I’d have Magneto in the movie in some form but not like as the main villain, just have him appear in the movie. He’s already been done to death in the Fox movies but I still think he should be in the movie at some point, just not as the main villain.
I’d slowly introduce the other mutants in the other movies. The first movie focusing on the original 6 gets them the spotlight for the whole movie and gets us to know them better. Introducing the other mutants slowly (Wolverine, Storm, Nightcrawler, Psylocke, etc.) would be better imo than just having the first movie include all of them at once, because if that were the case it would be unbalanced with screen time and character development and such. I don’t know if Magneto is at a level where he could be a Thanos type villain, so idk whether or not to preserve him for an Avengers movie or X-Men movie. Fox has basically beat the horse dead with him, but problem is I don’t know how he can be left out of the first X-Men MCU film since he plays such a big role in their formation and characters arcs and such. X-Men have a really deep rogues gallery though so I’m sure someone else can take the spotlight once.
I’d really love to see a Spider-Man and X-Men team up movie with Arcade as the main villain and having it set in Murderworld. I think Arcade is a really cool and underrated villain and could be fantastic as a main villain in his own thing like a Spidey and X-Men team up movie. NWH did a great job hitting the reset button on Spidey so being an 80s and 90s marvel fan, I’m all for the comic inspired team up movies that are possibly in the works like Daredevil and cooling it with the cosmic threats and earth threatening villains for a little bit. Give Kingpin and guys like Hammerhead and Tombstone the spotlight for a change.
There are also a lot of villains that could be potentially great side villains in a movie, like Marrow, Omega Red, Sabretooth, Spiral etc. (I was playing MvC2 the other day and realized how great these villains could be in a movie). I’d have Cable and Bishop introduced in a third X-Men movie, possibly tying their time travel stuff in with the quantum realm like seen in endgame (depending on what they want to do with Josh Brolin’s Cable in the Deadpool series).
Anyway, that’s my two cents in the X-Men MCU stuff. What do you guys think? I’d love to talk to you guys about ideas and stuff :)
