Do the writers of What If like killing Tony?

Seriously, I just watched What If 1x06 last night and with this one he's been killed three times (four IN A ROW, if we count the Dr. Strange episode), two of which you could argue he was nerfed (the zombies couldn't have gotten through his armor, and the moment the Liberator drone grabbed Killmonger by the neck it should have killed him instead of throwing him around). He's probably my favorite character from Marvel so I might be biased but it bums me out, that's all.
