According to Doctor Strange, out of all different 14,000,605 possibilities in the future, there's only one where they will successfully beat Thanos.
And we all know that the events of Endgame is THAT one future. There could be a possibility of Ant-Man or the mouse that released him being dusted along with half of life (since Thanos' snap selects randomly) which prevents the Avengers from knowing about the Quantum Realm.
Does that mean that the Avengers are still doomed to fail even in an AU where they successfully rid of the Infinity Gauntlet in Thanos' hand in Infinity War? Or that if Hawkeye was the one who sacrificed himself and not Nat, that future will be doomed no matter what? Or that if they switched roles over which Avengers goes on which time period, they'll still fail?
There are so many possibilities of alternate universes in Endgame but only one of them (according to Doctor Strange) lead to success.
What do you guys think?
