SPOILERS: Can someone sort something out for me on the ending of Endgame?

So at the very end, we see that Captain America went back in time and got married to Peggy Carter. My question is, did the events of the Captain America movies still happen? Was Cap still at the battle of NY? Did civil war take place? I'm confused on that one. Or was Captain America never present at any of these fights?
