Shuri always feels intimidating to go up against
Post Body

So I recently hit Infinite this season and I gotta say, I’m of the crowd that’s more scared to play against Shuri decks than Zabu or Surfer. Granted, I don’t have Shuri (yet) but it feels like the only way I can win against them is if i priority AND the counter to their deck (Shang Chi, Aero, etc). Otherwise it’s a retreat.

I guess what scares me going up against these decks is the unpredictable plays they can do. Who are they buffing and are they going to Taskmaster or Arnim Zola? It’s easier said than done on keeping priority. If I see them run Armor, into Zabu do I just assume they’re going to play Attuma and just go wide and win the other lanes so my counter goes off first during the crucial turn? If I don’t draw into my said counter, I feel like 100% I’m retreating. Cube management is important after all.

I’m curious to hear from Shuri players. How often do you see people countering your decks? Are you surprised when people who are going to lose still stay in? What would be your worst matchups? Zabu decks that have Shang Chi/Absorbing Man/Enchantress to stop your plays?

All I know is that I can’t wait for Shuri to be more accessible to players. Card is super strong and practically versatile.
