Deadpool and Wolverine already saved the MCU, this move was premature and a panic button, I'm pretty sure now they're already heavily regretting it considering how much people love Doom as a villain and will be pissed if he's not done properly. Kang was one thing, people have never been crazy about him, but Doom is a staple villain, it would be like fumbling Thanos.
