Thematic Thursday #19

Hello everyone! Hope last week's challenge was good fun, man Stage I Kang can be finicky, but I used one of the popular ally-less Vision decks on MCDB and the challenge ended up being a lot more fun to navigate than I expected!

This week we are doing another challenge that's a different definition of the word thematic, and we're saving Christmas! We'll be facing off against Collector I today. I always thought his collection mechanic felt a little weird in the fact that he would collect stuff that he already owned, but if we flavor his collection as stolen presents, things start to make sense again! He's gonna be paired with the Space Pirates Mod who also have a tendency to steal that which isn't theirs.

And so the challenge today comes from needing to collect more presents than your enemies! You can only win if the number of cards in the victory display is greater than the number of cards in the Collection(per player) AND the number of cards removed by the Space Pirates. This isn't additive, you just have to beat both the Collection and the Pirates individually!

For heroes, any of the Guardians will work (Hey, it's a Guardians Christmas Special!), and I personally recommend playing Groot for a Christmas Tree flavor. Though I will concede that I think the Bad Boy on Star-Lord's pack would look like a good modified sleigh.

Hope everyone that plays this week enjoys! I'll be on vacation next week so no post then. Hope everyone has some wonderful holidays, and I'll see you next year!
