Hello everyone! I hope the big brutes from last weeks challenge didn't ding you too bad. Absorbing Man is definitely on the lower end of challenges, so adding Power Stone and the wrecking Crew mod seemed fitting to keep him interesting.

This week, back to X-Men! We're focusing on another original member here this week by spot lighting Jean GreyJean Grey . I like hero kits that can communicate a story for the character through play, like Iron Man and Iron Heart both building their suits, it really pushes the thematics of the game. I feel Phoenix's kit does this as well, showing Jean's constant struggle of balancing her will against that of the Phoenix Force which wants to make her it's host.

So today, we're gonna challenge that balance! You're tasked with playing Phoenix against Mansion attack, but while Phoenix is in her Unleashed state, she cannot defeat the villan. So that means when you want to close things out or progress your enemy you'll need to either have control and be restrained, or rely on your friends/allies.

For the Modular set, I recommend Personal Nightmare, because that is exactly what the Phoenix Force is to Jean Grey, and she has a tendency to save her specific but powerful hero cards more often than most heroes, which can lead to some issues. Feel free to play any X-Men with her in Multiplayer, especially Cyclops, but also Storm, and Wolverine (when they're out!). Extending the challenge to Multiplayer you can set the restriction that the villian can't be defeated while Jean is unleashed, causing enough issues to get in the way of other problems is definitely something the Phoenix is capable of!
