Hello everyone! Last week had some interesting situations. Namely that Quicksilver was good at handling drones on his own early on, but doing this later felt wasteful after his stats were boosted. Oh well, thats what the ally's you're keeping safe are for!
Today we're playing Captain Marvel. This character is a big part of the rebranding Marvel has done over the last few years, pulling her from a B-Lister with a history of a identity crisis to now being one of the most defined and recognizable heroes in the new era of Marvel comics. Speaking of eras...
This week we're taking the Thematic part and applying that to the actual game of Marvel Champions instead of the comics. Since we are on the dawn of a new era with the game as the X-Men are nearly here, I'm challenging you to play the game at its roots! Take Captian Marvel, and use her to defeat Klaw with Doomsday Chair, with the added challenge of only deckbuilding with cards from the core set. This is likely something many players have done already, but a revisit to the early days of the game felt appropriate to do before stepping into this direction we get to experience :)
To extend the challenge, feel free to play other core set heroes with the same deckbuilding restrictions.
Happy playing, and hope you all are looking forward to Mutants as much as I am!
