Hello Everyone! So if you spend anytime on this sub you'll know that flavorful encounters and matchups is something people are always looking for. So I'm currently setting a goal for myself to think of thematic challenges to take on through the game, and figured I'd share as I went along!

This week, the challenge is inspired by Infinity Countdown: Champions number 2. If you're a comic fan of the Champions team, you might know that this is when Thanos destroys Iron Heart's Model 2 armor(Version 2 in card game terms). This starts her on the path to eventually develop her Model 3 armor.

Now for the challenge! The task is to take on Thanos using Iron Heart, with the catch that you cannot use any basic hero actions until you have built the version 3 of her armour. Using your REC with Riri before this is still fair game, as is exhausting your Identity for card affects, obligations, etc.

If you want to do this thematically in Multiplayer, playing with other Champions heroes is obvious, and to extend the challenge you can hold off their basic hero actions as well until Riri is ready. I'd recommend the Armies of Titan and Zzzax mod to show both Thanos's presence and Riri's struggles. Enjoy the game on any difficulty you prefer.
