Drax is my most fun hero that I don't "Like".
Post Body

So a little about me, I spend more time thinking about deck ideas and concepts for this game than I do playing it. As a result of that, I love heroes that open up tons of deck building potential and lots of different strategies. Adam Warlock, Spider-Women, and Spectrum all being amomg my favorite and most played heroes cause it always seems like you have so many ways to go with them.

Drax, at least for me, has never been a hero that's scratched that itch. He's mostly seemed like he has a certain way he likes to play, and you might be losing out on something important if you deviate from that too much. So outside when he actually hits the table, he is not really on my mind.

But when he's actually on the table ready? One of my favorite heroes to plan out turns and balance gameplay decisions, easily. He's the only hero who's Pre-con I've played more than once, and that's actually been 3 or 4 times. He's a great experience out of the pack!

By managing damage you take yourself, you're able to throw turns of actually ridiculous amounts back to the villian, and everything about his hero cards just seems to fit together so well. When I did break away from the pre-con and tried an Aggression deck from MCDB, I took him up against Expert Rhino for a test run, and the amount of decisions and considerations I made going against one of the games simplest villians is incredible. How much damage can I push the next two turns? Can I take this next attack without defending so I have a better potential to burst next turn? Is it worth the threat to try and flip to heal this turn, and how long will it take to get my damage back up if I do? Should I kill this minion or can I kill rhino quick enough to not matter? Should I use Mantis to keep me safe on threat or safe on damage?

Like I said, I never think about him outside of play, but win or lose I have yet to not enjoy a game where I piloted him after just saying "sure, why not". So if Drax hasn't hit your table recently, what are you waiting for? Go and get your vengeance!
