So I just played Venom Goblin like 10 times in a row with Justice Venom, in expert campaign mode. I'm starting to think it's not even possible.
I get it might be more reasonable in regular non-campaign expert but as part of the campaign I'm not sure what I can actually do to beat it.
Starting with Public Outcry, 1 minion and 1 scheme in play, 1 threat on all 3 mains schemes (and a additional threat on midtown) is just brutal. Even if you kill a enraged symbiote, and defeat the side scheme it's not enough to remove Public outcry which means you have to eat 4 encounter cards during the first Villain phase! Many times you just lose at that point. At that point you are so far behind that you have to struggle just to get back in a position to do anything proactive. And then even if you do manage to get through his first phase you have to then eat another 4 encounter cards (you have most likely dealt with public outcry by that point) and just pray you dont get one shot during that transition. And then Villain stage 3 is even crazier.
To add insult tio injury, if I'm reading the campaign book correctly, you technically have to beat it ON THE FIRST TRY?! to get a actual win by the game rules? Since it says in expert campaign you just lose the campaign if you lose, and it doesn't say this in standard so I'm assuming that rule means if you lose on the first try you just lose the whole campaign?
Has anyone beat this in expert campaign mode true solo, and if so what hero and strategy did you use to beat it?
