Hello everyone! I hope last week's fairly straightforward challenge was still interesting for everyone. The thing is, what goes on in comics is rarely ever straightforward, right? Sometimes an inter-dimensional warrior runs into an anthropomorphic Pig and chaos ensues. Introducing this week's challenge!
Spider-Ham, despite his recent popularity within the Spider-verse, actually debuted as a parody comic in the 80's(fun fact, did you know his origins are actually as a spider who was bitten by an anthropomorphic Pig?). Coming from his humble and whacky cartoonish origins, Spider-Ham's main role in the comics recently has been focused on handling multiversal threats. So in a comic book it would make perfect sense for a character running through various TV Universes to stumble upon this hero. Enter Spiral!
So, the encounter is Spider-Ham vs Spiral, with the added challenge that Spider-Ham must spend his toon counters when paying for cards before other resources. This will make it harder to bank toon counters, but Spider-Ham has to stay true to his origins! Note that this is a restriction that Peter Porker does not have to follow.
For Modulars, I'll recommend those that would be most appropriate to a Spider-Man comic/cartoon, being Sci-Fi, Crime, and Sitcom (that last one might be more apparent for Spider-Ham specifically). For teams, the other Web Warriors are a solid go-to, but it is the multiverse! You may also want to consider heroes that fit the modulars Spiral is traveling through, such as She-Hulk for Crime or the Guardians of the Galaxy heroes for Sci-Fi.
That is all for this week, happy gaming everyone!
