Thematic Thursday #25
Post Body

Link to last week's challenge: https://www.reddit.com/r/marvelchampionslcg/comments/10xwhob/thematic_thursday_24/

Hello everyone! Cosmic Marvel has always seemed like an insurmountable thing to try and capture all the details and history of characters and groups while trying not to miss anything. They are still superhero stories though, so it you stick with it you'll find the familiar stories you know.

This weeks challenge is more down to earth, as we're actually focusing on Senator Kelly. A long time advocator for Human Safety at the expense of Mutant rights, Senator Kelly is responsible for some of the worst things that have happened to Mutantkind, such introducing Project Wide-Awake and helping initiate Operation Zero Tolerance, and even setting the stage for events that would lead to the creation of Bastion Type Sentinels. However this does not stop the X-Men from protecting Kelly from attacks by other Mutant groups, on multiple different occasions from The Brotherhood and other entities.

Today you'll face Sabretooth, and will be playing as the steady Mutant Protector Colossus! The additional challenge is that Colossus cannot defend while he does not have a tough status. If you're not able to fully utilize you mutant abilities, you will not be able to protect Kelly effectively! Additional X-Men make good teammates in higher player counts, and I recommend both the Deathstrike and Mystique mods for Additional threats of Assassination. Best of luck to anyone who plays, and have a great week!
