Should I drop the extra class or am I being a wuss?
Post Body

Hi all, For context I’ve been doing boxing for over 2 years and I train three times a week. On the first session on Friday I join in on the Thai class (I can block shots, know my defensive stuff I just don’t kick and mainly go there to join in on the cardio and sparring (boxing only sparring).

I usually train with my pal but she’s on holiday now so I prefer to work on the bag and just join in the sparring. The coach (of which I work with at the same gym) puts me with this boy, let’s call him Tony. Tony doesn’t like me, which isn’t an issue as I’m not expecting everyone to like me but I’m always with him working and the atmosphere is horrendous like I’m stressed cos it’s obvious he’d rather be elsewhere.

I’ve posted about him before on here when he had me against a wall in sparring and the coach shouted at us. I’m not expecting special treatment because I’m a woman etc I’m not a prissy either I’ve been sparring for nearly a year at the gym and in France so I’m quite tough. But Tony honestly scares me tbh, he can cheap shot me and takes his anger out when we do combos and I’m terrified like it’s painful. He got annoyed because I asked him to not boot me across the legs, I could feel it in my hips and cross as hard.

Currently I’m typing on the toilet before my next class, with a bad headache so hence why if there’s grammar errors. I dread going the first lesson as he’s always there so I’m not sure if I should drop that class and just do my boxing classes and focus on running instead, any advice ? Will respond later don’t worry
