Need to extend the driver cable for FC-E6500

Hey guys I’m trying to run my driver outside of my tent. With the bar light series they come with a short cable that connects all the bars to via one main cable to the driver. I need to extend this cable because it’s not long enough for my driver to get outside my tent, and my heat is rising.

Does anyone have experience with mounting the bar lights driver outside of the tent? How did you do it? I was thinking about splicing the cables but I needed to know what gauge wire I should have that’s safe to splice them together
