Posted initially on r/cancun - then realized this post existed. I would covet your input just the same:
Hello - I'm a Marriott rewards member and have accumulated quite a few points which I would consider utilizing in Cancun. I'm interested in any input or recommendations for Marriott-owned resorts in the Hotel Zone that you might be willing to share. My only familiarity with resorts in Cancun are Royal properties, for comparison (Royal Cancun & Royal Sands.) Marriott: what did you like? What didn't you like? What's worth it, what isn't? Etc., etc. Thanks so much! The properties I see that I would be interested in are (in no particular order):
- Ritz-Carlton, Cancun
- Westin Lagunamar Ocean Resort Villas & Spa, Cancun
- Marriott Cancun Resort
- JW Marriott Cancun Resort & Spa
- The Westin Resort & Spa, Cancun
