I caught my husband cheating, my husband (34M) and I (37F) have been married for almost 5 years. What started out as just a friendship with a coworker quickly became an emotional affair that then led to sexting with each other. To make matters worse I accused him of it for 6 months and he lied straight to my face as nd even manipulated me into thinking I was crazy and it was just a friendship. I'm so lost and upset and I don't know what to do. We were having problems before all of this, on which we were both to blame, and he has admitted that none of what we were going through excuses his behavior but that doesn't really seem to help. He also swears that nothing physical ever happened between the two of them, which makes me feel even worse. He has also been caught texting and sexting with other people outside of this particular person...

He says that he lied because he loves me and was trying to protect me, but that just does not make any sense to my brain. I have no idea what I can and can't believe anymore, my mind and heart and soul are a complete mess. I love my husband and want to try and make things work, especially since we have kids. I just don't know what it's going to take to get past all the hurt and anger and lies. Is my marriage over? Should it be over? Can you ever really come back from something like this? Please help 😢
