Is the first year of marriage supposed to be so hard?
Post Body

Hello all, my wife and I were married in October and it was the happiest day of my life. I love her dearly and look forward to coming home every day. But the last few weeks we've been arguing way more frequently, mostly over dumb small stuff. Perhaps it's harder now because we don't have our own separate places anymore to chill out or something, but truthfully I feel overwhelming despair and hopelessness when it should be a joyful time. I know I have selfish tendencies and am learning to be a better partner/team player but some of the things she's getting worked up over are just ridiculous and it has me thinking about an exit strategy. Has anyone else experienced this early in their marriage?

tl;dr - in my first year of marriage and it sucks, is this normal?
