Is it always possible to make a marriage work?
Post Body

Of my acquaintances who've divorced, it's always involved at least one person who has zero interest in continuing the relationship. If both people are committed to making a marriage work and are open to counseling, etc, is it always possible to make a marriage work or are there some individuals who are somehow fundamentally incompatible in marriage?

tl;dr: is Gottman's book title ("Making Marriage Work") real or are there times when it's not possible (even if both people are willing)?
