I’m a 5 year digital marketer with one of the strangest career paths I think I’ve seen. Here’s a recap let me know what you think.
Year 1 - 2 Learned facebook and google ads and started working with local businesses. Shifted over to E-commerce helping design and lunch sites (High ticket).
Year 2-4 Dropped my clients and moved into the music industry. Help take an artist from a small buzz to signing a major record label as well as closing major pathership with soundcloud. Helped build marketing plans for record labels as well as pitching plans to major labels. Resulted in a multi million dollar VC deal.
Got referred to do consulting for major SAAS companies. Fell in love with consulting work and was only doing this for a good while.
Year 5 - present Marketing Director for a Fintech start up app targeting the personal finance space. Resulted in 10,000 app downloads in the first 3 months of product launch.
What do y’all recommend for me to advance my career?
Now I’m itching to find my next project and continue in corporate america and be able to work with marketers that can mentor me.
