I’m currently trying to do a career change. I’m under 30 years old and I have a degree (not in engineering) and experience with energy (including a few minor certifications).
If I want to become an officer, before going all in for a maritime academy, Is there a way I can work aboard a ship for a while or part-time to see what the “life” is like?
Also what would the average day in the life be for both an officer or some “newbie” on a ship?
