Post Body

Hello everyone,

I'm working on a personal project related to forests of the Taiheiyo evergreen forest regions in Japan.

I would really like to know the names of the three or four most common species of tree in these areas, as well as other flora such as the most common bushes and flowers, and ideally the approximate ratio or population numbers of those trees.

Does anyone know if this information is published somewhere? I mostly find information about cherry blossom and Japanese maple.

If not, I have many photographs of these forests which perhaps can be used for ID. Here are two photo albums:

Forest #1

Forest #2

Thank you for any help!
