Hi all, I have a sentimental tree at my grandparents house that is some sort of maple and turns orange/yellow in the fall. I'd really like to grow a tree from this one at my new house, and don't know the best way - I really only have one shot as the house is being sold shortly.
We grew this original tree from a helicopter seed - is that the best way to reproduce this tree, or are there options to root cuttings off it?
Our property has plenty of red maples growing on it now that I think the soil conditions are good for them, but definitely willing to get a soil test done/use whatever additives are needed if people have recommendations on what we should be testing! We're zone 6B and live in a pretty shaded hollow. We just passed maple syrup season if that gives you a good idea of our weather right now
