Need Help - Bearing Shim
Post Body

Hello Reddit,

My wife uses a mobility scooter, a GoGo Elite Traveller and I have taken apart the transaxle for repair. Under the drive shaft bearing, it appears they used a small shim under the bearing, which has an OD of 19 mm. This shim was in three pieces and appears to have been damaged by the bearing itself. I reside in Calgary, Alberta, Canada and have been unable to locate the shim up here. The manufacturer of the scooter parts only sells the entire transaxle unit for ~ $500 with the shipping. I was wondering if someone had access to a similar bearing shim or could offer me up a suggestion on what to replace it with? I have included links to the images on Imgur, and a quick drawing done in Fusion 360 with the dimensions.

I will gladly pay for the part with shipping as I want to get her mobility scooter back up and running so she isn't trapped in the house! She would greatly appreciate any assistance!

The first image is one of the pieces that was found in the bottom depression where the drive bearing would sit: https://i.imgur.com/uCfCiGx.jpg

The second picture is the bottom of the bearing that would sit on top of the shim: https://i.imgur.com/z7vhmIR.jpg

The third picture is the drawing I did in Fusion 360 with the dimensions: https://i.imgur.com/8PDVBTF.jpg

MODS: Please let me know if this is not allowed here and/or if you know of another sub reddit I should post this too, please let me know. I really need this part!

Thanks all
