Hi,
I'm exploring the manufacture of a mount / holder with
4 holes at 75mm on center
plus
4 holes at 100mm on center
The holes would be 4.2mm in diameter.
The mount / holder would securely hold an item with a dimension of
28.93 x 21.58 x 0.88 cm (11.39 x 8.5 x 0.35 in)
and a weight under 2.6 lbs
Some kind of lip or clamp would be needed to hold the item securely such that it could be flat against a wall but still stay on the mount generally meaning at least two opposing sides would need some kind of spring loaded clamp or preferably something more cost effective since the dimensions are known so precisely.
Some kind of pad or soft surface would be needed where the mount touches the item. This could be applied separately from cutouts, as a spray on material, or integrated into the design somehow.
I've never manufactured anything before so I'm exploring this as a possibility. Shape, material, thickness, and all other factors are open for discussion in the interest of making it robust, elegant, while minimizing the manufacturing and material cost.
Thank you.
