Spiny flower mantis passed away last night

I found him laying on the bottom of his net cage this morning. He was twitching a little so I put him in the freezer in case he was suffering. He was my first mantis so Iām hoping I did the right thing. He never lost his appetite, but I think I could tell he was getting old. I think he was an L3 when I got him back in August and he molted to adulthood in December, so hopefully he got to live a full life and just died of old age. R.I.P. Aughra (who I thought was a female for a long time haha)
