What should I feed my spiny flower mantis?

They are now L4-6. I’ve been feeding them golden D. hydei fruit flies, but now it seems like they eat 10 fruit flies before their abdomen starts getting full, so maybe the fruit flies are too small. A pet store near me suggested pinhead crickets but I’ve read that crickets aren’t good food for mantises? Has anyone fed crickets successfully? And I’m not sure if roaches or house flies would be too big for my mantis. Any suggestions are appreciated!
