Hey everyone!

I'm super excited about the idea of having mantids, but every time I bring it up to my mom I'm met with disgust and "oh yeah sure you can, only when you're in college" (which sucks because due to covid, even if I get into college this year I'm not sure I'll actually be there in person)

I've tried to explain to her that they are relatively cheap, easy to take care of, and won't get lost in the house with a proper enclosure, but she's always saying how she hates bugs and won't let it happen.

I have my own money and honestly just want to buy them now regardless of what she says but I feel like it's better to get her to agree to it first.
