Manitoulin, a beautiful and lovely experience I have never have part 3
Post Body

On the date June 23 ,2023 afternoon around 3:30pm I landed on the island, I texted my friend and family and told them I am traveling to Manitoulin island, and many of them not sure where exactly I am, I don't blame them, many Torontonian are immigrants, they know Canada as Toronto, I actually selfishly hope there are less people know about Manitoulin, the world actually from native words "manidoowaaling" mean" cave of the spirit" in objibwe, in the times when I stayed on the island, I just love the quietness and nature, untouched by human , forest and rivers, lakes and swamps , they all like some kind of spirit live there, usually when I go hiking I always keep some garbage bag as I will pick up garbage along the trail , but the island seems clean and not much polluted, the Niagara escarpment extended all the way from Niagara falls to this island, I love how those bolder and bad Rock and post ice age landscape , I stopped at many swamps and rivers and observe the birds and animals ( I am a big fan of birding and I use apps to attract birds so I can take pictures)the day I arrived we had such a luck because we spot the very mystery birds I think it called sandhill cranes, I have never seen this bird anywhere else, that is the first. Also there are many warblers on the island, I looked at my apps , just one location we saw at least 4 different warblers around the lake, and also a cute muskrats .At the same day we went to a restaurant at m' chigeeng called "season family restaurant" , here I would recommend if anyone could find " majas garden bistro" in mindemoya, I was there last year on a day trip but they don't open everyday, majas use all the garden plant for his kitchen and has a vegan many, their food are one of the kind and seasoned, unfortunately this time they didn't open. I had the first time to try a native soup and the food are good and portion are big for me. After dinner we decided to look at the guy who I talked to on the beach ,so we find this road called " katchankookem road " and this guy originally from USA came to Manitoulin island for his summer home, we showed the birds and crane pictures and he also showed us his pictures collection of wild life , like deers and coyotes and bobcats,we had a very nice time at the campgrounds, but what a luck today and make a new friend, and we had a good spot to look at sunset, so after sunset we came back to our motel and I went to find the owner I think I would stay another two days here, he told me someone has booked our room on weekend a while ago, as I only told him initially we will stay only one night, and it will be more expensive in the weekend if we want to stay in different motel, so the second day morning he said he would let us keep our room, and he even gave me a discount saved me $10 each day for another two nights, which is really good for us, I had a great day, had great food, met a new friend, saw the beautiful sunset, spot the crane , swam in lake Huron and lake mindemoya and I saved $20 for the hotel , I am so happy, and it is so sweet to hear all the cricket sound at night time, I so much enjoyed all the moment there ,thank you Manitoulin island. And tomorrow we will travel to kagawong , the beautiful bridal veil waterfalls and trail, later we will also plan to travel to" cup and saucer " hiking trail as our new friend suggested.
