I love this island so much, I wish i could have spent more time on it, i enjoy the time I stayed there, from south baymouth , the time i got off from Chi chee moun Ferry i yelled " Manitoulin I love you " this island has been a dream place for me, I had a goosebumps when the ferry staff told me to drive out from the standby line and waited at line 10, i almost wanted to give him a hug, in that early morning when i left Wiarton, I was debating was it worth to wait for the line as i didn't book ticket online, or should I travel to other places, I arrived Tobermory just a bit after 9:45 a.m. I right the way drove in the standby line, the staff came over and gave me the paper let me filled out and told me around 12:00 pm they will let people who has the ticket booked to go first and it is not guaranteed at that point because the tickets ware fully booked , however usually they have some rooms especially in the weekday, I was praying i could get on the ferry because it was a Friday, and i really didn't want to stay in Tobermory in weekend with thousands of tourists groups , but I had hope as I was #5 of the line, there were 3 motorcycle and one car in front of me , so around 12:15 when all other line started to move and the guy started waving the stand by line ask the cars in front of me to move i was almost cry, it is really worth it if you came early to wait, so later I counted it, total of 11 individual ( motorcycle and cars got granted to get in the ferry), the driver behind me also very excited, he came and talked to me said he is from Texas, and he has always wanted to drive his partner to Manitoulin island, we both like kids as we so excited about getting the chance to the ferry, I waited at the booth , paid $85 ( two adults and a small 4 door car ) , and I was waving to all the staff and said thank you to them when I drove in the ferry.
