P.edit; WHOOPS, âlegend of the Northern bladeâ I canât correct the title anymore.
I remember giving it a shot a long time ago and dropping it. Donât remember the reason. I am generally very picky when it comes to manhwa (I feel like I might have already pissed some people off here by disagreeing with their recommendations)âŚ
I would appreciate people sending their thoughts on Legend of the northern blade. Possibly pros and cons :/ Does it get better later on? I donât remember why I dropped it but I never do stuff like that without a reason.
P.p.edit: I found an old review I wrote. Will just paste it here. (Final rating I gave it: 7/10)
âThis webtoon is undeserving of its ratings. (Most people gave it 10/10 or 9/10)
The idea behind the story is complex and I admit that its potential was high but unfortunately it doesnât seem like the author knew how to show it though. âExplaining instead of showingâ, 2D personalities, no character progression, a clear lack of understanding how to show emotions through art....
As of chapter 57 none of the characters seem like real people... Their actions seem more motivated by âmaking the story go where the author wants it toâ than anything realistic...
as for the main character... if someone asked me to describe his personality, I wouldnât be able to do it at all. I donât know what went wrong here but if as a reader, after reading 57 chapters I am still unable to do that, something must have went wrong.
The comic is good enough to make me read it till chapter 57, which is already deserving of a 7... but not anything above that.
I personally wouldnât recommend reading it.â
