The protag is a girl who's getting bullied horribly and the popular girl sets her up to break something of hers (i think) and as a punishment she makes the protagonist confess to the "ugliest guy in school" which is a pudgy guy that's just the nicest guy ever. While she's going on dates with him she's convincing herself she's not a bad person and i think she made herself forget that she didn't genuinely like him before confessing. He has 2 close friends that are with him all the time but 1 of the friends finds out about the punishment game through the bullies and talks to protag girl while her "BF" is nearby listening to the conversation.
