Pulled an all nighter to read Kono Oto Tomare and it was so worth it.
Post Body

I was interested in the anime when it came out this past weekend, and I decided to watch it. I couldn't help but decide to read the manga after watching the episode because I just want to know what happens next. Little did I know what I was about to step into.

i literally teared up every chapter from chapter 1 to 12, and kept tearing up from time to time after that. I just couldn't stop reading it until I caught up. I have to say it is the best manga I have read in a while. It is very motivational to me, and the growth of the characters are very evident throughout. I can't wait to see the actual musical pieces adapted for the anime, and I hope the anime ends up being as great as the manga.

All I knew about the koto was that it is a traditional Japanese instrument, and I still don't know much about it after reading this. But just like other music themed manga that I have read (Your Lie in April, Piano no Mori, Soul Catcher(s)), it really motivates me in improving my bass playing skills. I relate to music more than visual art, and even though these are fictional works, just seeing the effects of music can have on other characters brings joy to me. I know that this also happens in real life, although not as exaggerated.

I just can't wait to see where the manga goes. I can't believe I'm reading another monthly manga. It's going to be a pain waiting for a new chapter release.

If any of you haven't read it, I recommend you to check it out! It's a good mix of both comedy and drama. There isn't really much romance, although it slowly develops.
