r/manga: Do you guys think you could help me out with this?

So, I've been a big fan of manga for a while. Particularly manga created by "indie" and lesser known (usually internet based) artists and writers, and I want to start to support the artists (making donations, buying their manga, merch, etc...), but I'm under 18 and have no experience buying anything online, can anyone help me out here?
