Looking for a manga name. Can't remember.

It was about a boy and girl and they were best friends as kids. The boy promised to marry the girl when they are older. The boy moved away and he was diagnosed with some sort of life ending disease. I want to say cancer, but I could be wrong. And it fast forwards to when they are sixteen and the boy has bleached his hair and pierced his ear. He tries to be offputting toward the girl.
