Best vantage point to view fireworks?

My son loves fireworks but because of his autism a busy place isn't the best place for him.
I was hoping to take him up to a vantage point where we can watch the manchester skyline lit up with fireworks from our car.
The only place I could think of was werneth low but I'm guessing we won't see much from the car park there.
Does anyone have suggestions ?
I don't mind travelling further afield.
Any help would be greatly appreciated. Thank you!
