Communication has come down the line and I am being told to let go 1 person on my team of 3. I know exactly who to layoff as they are very average and get paid way above what my team and myself currently make because she lateral transferred over and our company has a 20 week parental leave policy that she just started and also has about a week off after that ends. We cannot change the pay of current team members because that is the market rate for that role.
I cannot wait until she comes back as company wants to clean up Financials for Q1. How should I go about this?
