Dealing with Authoritarianism in the West

Post Body

I know a lot of people talk about dating and other stuff, but one issue that weighs on me is how stifled society has become and how authoritarian attitudes have become over the past 20 some odd years. Pre covid I would have just said leave the US, it it seems like the poison is spreading or is a generational thing. I can only imagine what will occur when a financial crisis hits akin to the 1830s or 1930s. I am trying my best to insulate myself, work on finding longer term safe spots, but it is not as easy as it used to be. I don't mean to be alarmist, but I have a bad feeling and it seems like some other countries would be better to be in when shit gets weird.
