Hey so I know this is usually a spot for posting pics, but I wanted to ask you all: is there a particular futon you'd recommend for use as a <1 year, regular sleeping option? I am a 30yo, 6'1", 180lbs guy
I'm moving into a smaller living space for the next 7 months that can't support the queen-size bed I have now, in addition to the desk I need for work. I'm thinking about potentially getting about getting a futon in order to maximize space and also have more accommodating spot I can hang on during the day.
I don't really want those ikea/target futons with the bar in the middle because I find the bar to be very uncomfortable to sleep on. I know from college there's those kinda lumpy mattress ones that fold up, usually attached to a rickety metal frame.
Just wondering if there's any "nicer" futons out there you've used, which wouldn't be unreasonable for an adult man to be sleeping on regularly. I'd prioritize sleeping comfort over couch status.
My budget is flexible but trying to stay below $800.
Also open to any futon "hacks" that could turn a less comfortable one into a more comfortable one (such as putting a foam topper on).
