Let me preface by saying that I know I'm really unordinary, and that I know this isn't what minimalism is about... It's just that it gives me a lot of joy to be able to travel anywhere with one small bag, and not be limited by my lack of items.

Basically, I want to only own one pair of shoes that will serve 90% of my use cases. I only wear black jeans/chinos and never shorts. As for tops, I only wear button-down shirts, and occasionally a t-shirt on hot days. There's also this expensive black western pork pie hat that I was gifted, I only wear it about twice a year, so it doesn't really matter, however, I'm hoping I can find some shoes with more of a vintage feel to match it.

I live out in the country and interact with dirt and rocks quite regularly, I'm pretty careful, so I don't need them to be super durable, but loafers or dress shoes obviously won't work. If I go hiking or running, then I usually go barefoot, now don't lose me here lol, I don't believe in grounding or anything, I just prefer being barefoot... As for events, the shoes need to be at least semi appropriate for ballet viewings and causal weddings. Everything else is so extremely rare for me that I'd rather rent dress shoes for the occasion. I currently own a pair of boat shoes as my main footwear, they're tough enough for the soil, however, visually I find them horrendous when combining them with my outfit, I just haven't found a more stylish alternative yet.

I understand the perfect shoe doesn't exist, but I believe I can get a little closer. You all know a lot more about shoes than me, so any suggestions would be greatly appreciated! I'm going on a long trip in about a week, so I'm hoping I can finally improve my shoes before then.
