So I want to look good for my wedding, and for any events I wear the suit to later, and am willing to spend the little extra for made-to-measure... but worried about quality since I can't see/feel the suit ahead of time. So I'm torn between trying to get something off the shelf to work or rolling the dice with Suitly. I always seem to have trouble finding shirts and suits that fit well. If the body fits, the sleeves are crazy, or the collar is huge. So the idea of made to measure is so appealing. But I also don't want to spend money on total crap. I don't have $3k to blow on full bespoke (otherwise, I'd do it in a heartbeat) but I do have ~$500, so off the rack at mens wearhouse and tailoring or suitly both fit that budget.
Anyone have a thought on this? Experience with online MTM? Is it worth it, or is it a total junk deal? Portly guys especially, have you had much trouble getting off-the-rack to tailor well?
