Wedding Videographer "uniform" advice?
Post Body

So, my wife and I own a studio and we are narrowing our focus quite a bit. We used to shoot anything, but have chosen to focus on our true photographic love - weddings. I shoot video, she shoots stills. We are very much a boutique shop. We pride ourselves on extremely high quality production and I need a personal style "brand upgrade." I want to look on point, but stay appropriate for a wedding vendor.

Budget: Business expense - I'm willing to pay what it takes, but I'd prefer to keep it somewhat reasonable. Money towards clothes is money away from marketing, gear, etc... but it's all essential.

Geographic Area: Midwest.

Age: 29

Body Type: Fairly Average - 5'9", 180lbs. Previously in Military - relatively well constructed.

Personal Style: Well. I don't really have that too much. I've been described as a lumberjack. I have a hard part and a well-groomed but full beard. Really love plaid.

Context: Our contemporaries are generally "hipsterish," but I want to portray more of a high-end luxury vibe. I really like the idea of black dress shirts and like a heather grey buttoned vest. I am somewhat concerned about that look though - is that too bridal-party ish? I generally wear a pretty standard dress shirt and pleated dress pants - this was my previous employer's (between Military and Now) dress code so I have a lot of that. To me, it's a little dated.

This is my camera bag, for what it matters.

I would be down with suit jackets - but sometimes that would interfere with the production process. I get pretty crazy when I am videoing.

So /r/malefashionadvice, what should I do to look as awesome as we actually are?
