I wanted to get a new suit for wedding season and noticed that a lot of designer suits/blazers the length of their sleeve is unusually long almost down towards the knuckles. In an traditional sense it should be closer to your wrist. In formal evalution the length of these sleeves are too long. I emailed acne studios about this and they said it shouldn't be any need for alterations. The sleeve buttons also are too close to the cuff and don't allow for any shortening and I don't want to remove the prestitched holes.
So before I buy an expensive off the rack suit and ruin the drape can somebody advise me on is this a norm for oversized/relaxed fit/boxy suits nowadays or is it solely for runway look?
Below are a few examples ignore the prices! Thanks in advance!
