Does rap need to be loud? Mastering
Post Body
So I've been giving a lot of thought to mastering, and what really is important there. Mastering will make the track louder and consistent, but streaming changed the the loudness of older tracks and they're still hitting hard. How much does loudness matter anymore? I'm not saying mastering is pointless, but in terms of loudness. Is that something we're getting away from.
When mastering, what do you all focus on. Hell as listeners. Do you just turn the volume knob up or down and not really care?
