Sampling Songs that have been Sampled before

Just a general question, what are your rules when sampling? Personally I try to avoid sampling songs that have been flipped before (Or at least are listed on WhoSampled). Sometimes if the artist who flipped it before is really unknown i'll still use it, or if I intend to use the sample in a different way. Obviously people aren't flipping the horns from T.R.O.Y. or whatever, but where is the line?
