I want to subtly cover my birthmark.

I have a greenish/greyish/purple birthmark in and around my eye. When I wear foundation or concealer it still shows through so Iām not really trying to erase it, but rather make it more subtle. Someone at Sephora recommended green toner but I felt like she might have been trying to just make an expensive sale. Any advice helps
